Opto-Mechanics

The product range comprises a combination of newly developed and well-established products to enable mounting of any optical component, including mirrors, prisms, lenses, polarisers, fibre optics and filters, and manual micropositioners.

Ealing offers three different ranges of Manual Micropositioners – MicroMech™, MiniMech™ and MacroMech™.

Linear Stages provide a wide choice of travel from 6.5 mm with micrometer-driven MicroMech Stages to 50 mm with micrometer-driven MacroMech stages.

Rotary Stages offer a full 360-degree coarse travel range and a minimum of 5 degrees fine calibrated adjustment. Tilting Stages provide either single or two-axis tilt up to a range of 10 degrees, depending on unit size.

Tilt and Rotation Stages combine two axes of tilt with an axis of rotation over a 5-degree range.

All Ealing mounting hardware is designed to fit on to its range of Optical tables, Breadboards and Rails.

Please see below individual products and summary pages that can be viewed as extracts from the Ealing Catalogue.

The Ealing catalogue is now available as a PDF flip catalogue. It can be maximised to make it more readable.

Please review the full range on the Ealing website, we will be pleased to provide specific details on the products you are interested in and look forward to being able to help you.

Manual Micropositioners

Elevation Stages

The Ealing Elevation Stage provides an overall vertical adjustment range of 5mm from a nominal retracted height of 32mm and may be mounted underneath or on top of several Ealing products.

MORE INFORMATION

Linear Stages

Ealing offers many different Linear Stages, to be selected by range of travel and size of positioner platform. Our linear stages are constructed from a combination of steel and aluminum to provide a light weight stage with performance approaching that of an all steel design.

MORE INFORMATION

Rotation Stages

The Ealing Rotary Stage provides a full 360 degrees of rotation from a stage supported on radial ball bearings. Coarse and fine adjustments are available, allowing initial rotation to be carried out by hand followed by fine adjustment over a range of 6 degrees using the fine adjusting screw.

MORE INFORMATION

Tilt Stages

Tilting stages have the platform position of the manual stage is controlled by a precision micrometer head which reads to 0.01 mm, where one division corresponds to 20 arcsec of displacement.

MORE INFORMATION

Kinematic Mirror Mounts

Kinematic Mirror Mounts are designed to accept round, front surface mirrors or beamsplitters of either 76.2mm (3 inch) or 101.6mm (4 inch) diameter.

MORE INFORMATION

Precision Mirror Mounts

Ealing Precise Mirror Mounts are designed to accept round, front surface mirrors or beamsplitters of up to 50.8mm (2 inch) maximum diameter.

MORE INFORMATION

Precision Thin Optics Mounts

Precise Thin Optic Mounts are very similar to the standard Precise mirror mounts except these are designed specifically to accept thin, round, front surface mirrors or beamsplitters.

MORE INFORMATION

Top Adjust Mirror Mounts

A unique high resolution adjustment system with vertically-mounted controls makes these kinetic mirror mounts particularly valuable for use where access is restricted or where it is necessary to keep the operator's hands away from the optical path.

Optical Tables, Breadboards and Rails

Breadboards

These solid aluminum threaded plates provide a useful low cost base for building optical systems or prototypes, they may also be mounted onto an optical table with the aid of a set of pillars.

Optical Tables

Now with modular construction, these tables are recommended for use in such diverse applications as electrophysiology, cell injection, ultramicrotomy, photomicroscopy, scanning tunnel microscopy, and confocal laser scanning microscopy.
